Care for the elderly
Growing older shouldn’t mean losing independence. Conard Care provides high-quality care support for its elderly service users, enabling them to live in the home they know and love.
At Conard Care Services, our support ranges from everyday tasks like housework, shopping, laundry, correspondence and paperwork to personal care like washing, dressing, medication etc. Our care assistants also help with making meals and higher-level clinical or nursing assistance. In many cases, our staff also support older people to maintain their family and social lives, perhaps escorting them outside the home.
In additional to general help, we also specialise in supporting people with particular age-related health conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
Our services for older people are highly-personalised. Each care plan is individually designed in partnership with the clients to take into account their particular needs, goals and aspirations. The success of each service is measured in terms of whether those personal outcomes are achieved. This person-centred approach gives our older clients more choice and control over when and how their support is provided.
We take care to match our care assistants with clients to ensure a great fit for both skill and personality; it is our aim to provide staff who are companions as well as care professionals.
Needing access to high quality care around the clock needn’t mean sacrificing all of your independence or privacy.
Extra Care, sometimes known as assisted or supported living, provides clients with access to high levels of care without having to sacrifice all of their autonomy. Our schemes operate in purpose-built properties, which provide accessible and safe housing for the elderly who are unable to live completely independently. Our skilled and specially trained care assistant teams are on site twenty-four hours a day, ready to provide help as and when it is required. Conard Care Extra Care Schemes strike an important balance for clients who require high levels of support but don’t wish to yield all of their independence.
Whilst our Extra Care Schemes have a communal spirit, the care we give provide is bespoke. We build tailored care plans which accommodate not just the assessed needs of each client. This enables us to deliver a personalised, outcome-focused service. So, whilst tenants in our Extra Care schemes can access the benefits of their community, they can still count on getting the person-centred care they desire.
The care assistants in our Extra Care sites are passionate about creating vibrant communities in which clients can play as active a role as they choose. In addition to developing a calendar of engaging social activities, we also run scheme-wide initiatives which help service users to stay fit and healthy, such as onsite GP clinics, nutrition workshops and exercise programmes.
